11 Purchases That Help You Save Money

Spending money to save money sounds like a trick, right?! But hear me out..

Sometimes if you spend money today, you’ll save yourself some money in the long time. Some products are intended to save you money. How cool is that?

  1. Reusable water bottle

When you get thirsty you need water right away, right? If you get thirsty and you’re not at home, you’ll probably buy a drink.

That’s where a reusable water bottle comes in! Fill it up with water or your beverage of choice before you leave the house. You’ll save yourself so much money over time not buying so many drinks when you’re out.

  2. Not buying fast fashion

Fast fashion pieces are often not great quality and don’t last as long as other pieces that might be more expensive and made using better methods. Fast fashion includes brands such as Forever 21 and H&M.

I have been in a place where fast fashion was all that I could afford, so I also understand that sometimes it is best to shop at these stores. But even when I could only afford these types of stores, if I could find a more expensive and better quality piece on mega sale for about the same price as Forever 21, I would opt for that because I knew it would last longer and look better. You are more likely to care for pieces that are higher quality, making them last longer and you’re less likely to want to buy more to replace old items.

  3. Quality cooking tools

If you splurge now on quality tools for your kitchen, like pots and pans and knives, they could last you decades. My parents have peelers they got 20 years ago! That’s some great cost per use.

  4. A good phone case

Dropping your phone and breaking your screen or your camera can cost a pretty penny to fix. Save yourself the money and the headache by getting a durable phone case that will protect your phone no matter what you drop it on.

  5. Reusable batteries

Batteries are something we need to use constantly. This means we could just continuously buy new batteries to replace old batteries. But the smarter choice is to spend a little more on reusable batteries. You can use them over and over again and just recharge them! That will save you a ton in the long run.

  6. A coffee maker

Buying coffee everyday is crazy expensive, plus it takes time going to the cafe and placing an order. If you make your own coffee, or tea, whatever you need to get going everyday, you can save hundreds and even thousands every year.

  7. Glass tupperware

High quality tupperware lasts a long time and is the perfect thing to use to meal prep. Meal prepping your food for a week or a few days will save you a ton of money.

  8. Water filter

If you don’t like tap water and enjoy drinking bottled water then a water filter is for you. One water filter lasts months and that will save you so much on buying water bottles!

  9. LED lightbulbs

LED lightbulbs use far less energy and last a long time. You’ll save money on your energy bill and you’ll buy light bulbs far less often.

  10. Reusable sandwich bags

These can cost a pretty penny up front, but they are washable and you’ll never have to buy disposable sandwich bags again. They come in super cute patterns too!

  11. Soy candles

Soy wax has a longer burn time than other wax. Soy candles tend to be more costly up front, but they burn for longer and are a much better buy and bang for your buck.
